When we set out to create Talk of the Town - Hair, Skin, and Wellness Studio, We weren’t just dreaming about opening another salon, barbershop, or med spa. We wanted to create something entirely different—a space where everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and celebrated, no matter who they are.

Let’s face it: traditional salons, barbershops, and med spas often come with their own set of rules and unspoken expectations. Salons can feel overly feminine and intimidating for men, while barbershops are often designed with hyper-masculinity in mind, leaving many women and non-binary individuals feeling out of place. And med spas? With their sterile, clinical atmosphere—or their lotus-flower-and-Buddha decor—they can feel unapproachable, especially for first-timers or people seeking a more relatable experience. These spaces, though well-meaning, often cater to a specific “cliché” customer and inadvertently exclude others.

We wanted to change all of that.

Talk of the Town was born out of a desire to break the mold—to create a space that doesn’t lean on stereotypes or outdated notions of beauty and self-care. Instead, we’ve built a studio where the focus is on people: their individuality, their needs, and their unique journeys to feeling confident and refreshed.
